It has often been stated, that without water, we can live but a few days at most. Therefore, it is important, as we are, the human body, about 60 present water, and for all of the organs of the body to function properly, you need the water. For some, it has been said to help maintain energy levels and even aid the function of the body.
Almost every organ function of the body is in some way influenced by the consumption of water. It moves nutrients, oxygen, and waste throughout the body and can keep organs from damage. Furthermore, it helps to regulate your body temperature and keep your circulation flowing normally to maintain stamina.
A lack of hydration can lead to various conditions such as headaches, dizziness, lack of concentration and fatigue, but dehydration on extreme occasions can even lead to serious medical conditions. When it is hot, or even when performing intense physical exertion, if you become dehydrated you can become very ill as in cases of heatstroke or even heat exhaustion.
When your body has received enough water, your skin will look healthier, younger and firmer. However, a dry and unhealthy skin might indicate you’re not receiving enough. The water will actually assist your body’s natural repairing processes, as well as aid its natural detox process.
When the environment is hot, the body will release sweat to lower its temperature; this loss of water should be replaced. If your water levels drop too much while it’s hot, your body could be pushed into heat exhaustion or even heat stroke.
A well-hydrated athlete will be more resilient and their sports performance will therefore improve through endurance and muscle strength while reducing chances of cramps.
This obviously depends on many variables such as; sex, weight, climate, activity level and age, although it is generally agreed upon by most doctors and health experts to try and consume roughly eight glasses per day. Obviously someone doing a lot of physical exertion will need to drink more.

For some people the simple act of receiving an alarm reminder is often enough to remind them to drink water which will increase their intake throughout the day. Drink the water when you can feel yourself becoming dehydrated as it is a natural signal your body needs more fluids and it is easier to get through your normal day if you are keeping your water intake levels balanced. Replace sugary drinks with something that is actually beneficial for your body.
So, whether it be fruit juice (preferably natural, unfiltered), a hot mug of tea or just a glass of water, avoid the fizzy, sugary drinks that have no positive effects on your body and just dehydrate it.
Drinking the correct amount of water has all the advantages stated above to improve overall health and even one’s physical and mental well-being. Eating water-rich foods in addition to regular drinking water throughout the day could improve anyone’s ability to perform certain tasks throughout the day while increasing energy levels.
