Palak Paneer Perfection: Simple Steps to a Creamy Restaurant-Style Dish at Home

Palak Paneer is often called a comfort Indian food, as it is a mixture of spinach and paneer. It has high levels of iron, calcium, and vitamins, which are required for our body.

 Ingredients
  • 2 cups fresh spinach (palak)
  •  200 grams of paneer
  • 1 finally chopped onion
  • 2 tomatoes for making puree
  • 1 tsp of ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp of Amul or homemade cream
  • 1–2 green chillies
  • Cumin seeds
  • Turmeric powder
  • Garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil or butter
Procedure
  • Take spinach leaves, boil the spinach leaves in a pan, and then soak them in ice-cold water. Blend it to make a smooth puree.
  • Take fresh paneer and chop it into small pieces.
  • Add oil or butter in a pan, and heat on medium flame. Then add cumin seeds and finely chopped onions. Fry until it turns golden brown, and then add 1 tsp of ginger-garlic paste.
  • Add tomato puree & spices. Cook the tomato puree until the oil gets separated. Add 1 tsp of turmeric, salt, and green chilies.
  • Add spinach puree and cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes.
  • Add paneer, cream, and garam masala for creamy texture.

Some helpful tips to keep in mind while cooking
  • Always blanch spinach to maintain its green colour.
  • Spinach should never be overcooked because then it would lose its taste.
  • Choose fresh paneer for the best texture.
  • Add a pinch of sugar in case the spinach is bitter in taste.
  • To give a restaurant-style taste, add one spoon of butter at the time of serving.

  • Jeera rice, roti, or parantha
